Since
its founding in 1896, The French-American Chamber of Commerce has been
opening borders between the United States and France.
A private, non-profit, commercial service organization, the FACC
offers 19 U.S. chapters, all dedicated to
the promotion of Franco-American trade and investment. Each
chapter provides international services, programs and events for members.
The FACC acts as the business world’s link to French and American
governments, state agencies and trade and professional organizations.
The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the FACC – one of the largest in
the country – serves as the area’s principal forum for French and
American business leaders to meet and discuss common interests. FACC
Activities As
international boundaries dissolve, global thinking is becoming vital to
success. The Dallas/Fort
Worth Chamber, through its luncheons, dinners and networking events,
offers a window to international business opportunities. The
luncheon meetings, which are conducted in English, feature a distinguished
French or American speaker from both government and business sectors.
Special seminars providing more in-depth coverage of current
business issues are also offered. The
Dallas/Forth Worth FACC also hosts the largest annual Festival Beaujolais
in the United States and participates in many other French-American
cultural events. FACC
Business Connections With its extensive network in the United-States and France, the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter assists members in establishing business contacts overseas. The U.S. Chapters rely on contacts through the FACC Paris office and refer members to one another. The FACC is a member of L'Union des Chambres de Commerce et d'Industries Francaises a l'Etranger. The FACC is also an excellent local resource for French trade information. Up-to-date lists of French and American manufacturers, importers and exporters, as well as other trade material are available only to members of the Chamber. The
FACC similarly assists French visitors by referring the products and
services of Councillor and Corporate members.
For a nominal fee, the FACC will also coordinate business visits
between U.S. and French companies for all membership categories. As part of an ongoing commitment to keeping its members apprised of the latest member and trade issue, the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter publishes an e-newsletter, Les Nouvelles and a local membership directory.
Les Nouvelles includes trade leads; announcements of trade exhibitions in France and French business missions in the area; French and American business briefs; trade articles and the latest information on Chapter and member activities.
The local FACC Membership Directory list all members of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. Members find this directory to be one of their most useful business reference sources.
