Emmanuel
Krivine, long-established as a conductor of the very highest international caliber,
during his tenure with the Orchestre National de Lyon he helped them develop
into a top international ensemble. A regular and very popular guest conductor
with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, recent North American engagements have also
included immensely successful visits to the 2000 Mostly Mozart Festival and
acclaimed debuts with Minnesota, Cleveland and Philadelphia orchestras. He has
an extensive discography and is a notable interpreter of a wide range of repertorie
including Russian, French and Viennese classics. A fine orchestral accompanist,
he collaborates with many top rank international soloists and has toured widely
in Europe and Japan with a range of ensembles. The evening performance will
include: Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade; Saint Saëns - Violin Concerto
No. 3 and Dubugnon - Les Arcanes Symphoniques.
